Abstract
Abstract A paper carriage support is mounted on the supporting frame of a typewriter for angular movement about an axis parallel to the direction of movement of the carriage and to the axis of the platen. An adjusting device, including adjusting screws and stop screws, exactly determines the desired angular position of the carriage support in relation to the supporting frame, so that the impact area of the platen can be moved in the direction of the path of movement of the types of type levers whereby the rebound distance of the types is adjusted.
