Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 11
Claim 1
Independent Claim 148 words
A decorative protective closure for an assembled electric lamp and socket comprising in combination at least two complementary engageable section members, each being integrally formed as a unit and having a distal portion adapted to overly and circumscribe said lamp and a proximal portion adapted to overly and generally closely conform to the outer surface configuration of said socket, said distal portion having a forward nose portion and rearwardly extending radially spaced apart ribs connecting said nose and proximal portions, said proximal portion having an inwardly directed flange and a socket overlying portion, said section members each having complementary removably engageable fastener elements in register with the other for locking engagement of said section members, whereby when said fastener elements are interengaged said section members form a unitary device enclosing and securing said lamp against facile separation from said socket while exposing portions of said lamp to view.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 148 words
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 19 words
The structure defined in claim 1, wherein said section members are formed of a plastic material as integral units.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 16 words
The structure defined in claim 1, wherein said section members are formed as molded plastic units.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 23 words
The structure defined in claim 1, wherein said section members are formed of a transparent plastic material which is colorless or in color.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 23 words
The structure defined in claim 1, wherein said section members are formed of a translucent plastic material which is colorless or in color.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 21 words
The structure defined in claim 1, wherein said section members are formed of an opaque plastic material which is in color.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 24 words
The structure defined in claim 1, wherein the facing contiguous edge surfaces of each said section member is provided with said complementary fastener elements.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 61 words
The structure defined in claim 7, wherein said fastener elements comprise a plurality of openings in the facing edge surface of one said section member and a like plurality of projections in the facing edge surface of the second said section member in register with said openings and adapted to securely and firmly engage said section members together in locking relationship.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 19 words
The structure defined in claim 1, wherein said rib members have a transverse cross-sectional form including rounded crown surfaces.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 27 words
The structure defined in claim 1, wherein said section members have outer and inner faces, at least one of said faces having decorative light-reflective prism surfaces thereon.
