Abstract Novel antifungal and antibacterial agents having a short-kill time comprising dimethyl sulfoxide, ethanol or isopropanol and an effective amount of at least one diester of 2,2,4trimethylpentanediol-1,3 and aliphatic carboxylic acids of two to 12 carbon atoms.
