Abstract

Abstract Telecommunication arrangement for receiving, storing and reading pulsecodemodulated, timemultiplex signals emanating from incoming multichannel transmission systems and received therefrom with varying periodic timescales or reception, which consist of equal channel intervals, in which each incoming multichannel transmission system is connected to a transposition arrangement for transducing the channel information of each incoming time channel into an associated local time channel, which is determined by a local clock and in which each local time channel has associated therewith a storage location for storing the channel informations that are transposed to said local time channel, there being provided an address modification arrangement for modifying the addresses for reading in the storage locations, when as a result of a shift of the time scale of reception, the correspondance that exists between the local time channels and the incoming time channels changes.

A telecommunication arrangement for receiving, storing and reading sequences of coded informations comprising a storage arrangement, a first addressing arrangement for writing in said storage arrangement, a second addressing arrangement for reading out of said storage arrangement, a receiving arrangement for receiving a sequence of coded informations having a time scale formed by equal receiving intervals, a local clock arrangement comprising a generator for generating a local time-scale having a plurality of equal local intervals of the same nominal duration as the receiving intervals, a transposition arrangement coupled to said receiver and said clock for transposing each received information from the receiving interval into an associated interval of a transformed time scale having normal intervals coinciding each with a local interval, shortened intervals having zero length and prolonged intervals each coinciding with two successive local intervals, said intervals of the transformed time scale being associated one to one to the receiving intervals, said storage arrangement further comprising an input arrangement coupled to the receiver for storing in each local interval the received coded information that is transposed to said each local interval in a sector of the storage arrangement that is associated with the said transposition arrangement, said storage location indicated in said each local interval by said first addressing arrangement, said first addressing arrangement including a cyclic address counter which generates an address in each local interval, and a signalling device for indicating a first state defined as the transformed time scale of the transposition arrangement comprising a shortened interval; and a second state defined as the transformed time scale of the transposition arrangement comprising a prolonged interval, and an address modification arrangement coupled to said second addressing arrangement and to said signalling device and responsive to said first state for decreasing and to said second state for increasing by unity the addresses of storage locations of said sector of the storage arrangement stored in said second addressing arrangement and associated with the transposition arrangement.
