Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 17
Claim 1
Independent Claim 68 words
A method of producing a diuretic effect in mammals comprising administering to said mammal a diuretically effective amount of a compound of the formula where R1 and R2 can be the same or different and are each selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, bromine, fluorine and chlorine, with the limitation that at least one of R1 and R2 must be hydrogen; and X is bromine or chlorine.
Claim 2
Independent Claim 62 words
A method of producing a diuretic effect in mammals comprising administering to said mammal a diuretically effective amount of a compound of the formula where R1 and R2 can be the same or different and are each selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, bromine, fluorine and chlorine, with the limitation that at last one of R1 and R2 must be hydrogen.
Claim 3
Independent Claim 62 words
A method of producing a diuretic effect in mammals comprising administering to said mammal a diuretically effective amount of a compound of the formula where R1 and R2 can be the same or different and are each selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, bromine, fluorine, and chlorine, with the limitation that at least one of R1 and R2 must be hydrogen.
Claim 4
Independent Claim 21 words
A method of producing a diuretic effect in mammals comprising administering to said mammal a diuretically effective amount of 7-chloro-6-fluoro-4-chromanone oxime.
Claim 5
Independent Claim 23 words
A method of producing a diuretic effect in mammals comprising administering to said mammal a diuretically effective amount of 7-chloro-6-fluoro-4-chromanone oxime methyl ether.
Claim 6
Independent Claim 21 words
A method of producing a diuretic effect in mammals comprising administering to said mammal a diuretically effective amount of 7-chloro-8-fluoro-4-chromanone oxime.
Claim 7
Independent Claim 23 words
A method of producing a diuretic effect in mammals comprising administering to said mammal a diuretically effective amount of 7-chloro-8-fluoro-4-chromanone oxime methyl ether.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 83 words
A pharmaceutical composition containing from 1 percent to 99.98 percent by weight of a pharmaceutical carrier in combination with from 0.02 percent to 99 percent by weight of a diuretic compound of the formula where R is hydrogen or methyl; R1 and R2 can be the same or different and are each selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, bromine, fluorine and chlorine, with the limitation that at least one of R1 and R2 must be hydrogen; and X is bromine or chlorine.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 61 words
The pharmaceutical composition of claim 9 in which the active ingredient is a compound of the formula: where R1 and R2 can be the same or different and are each selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, bromine, fluorine and chlorine, with the limitation that at least one of R1 and R2 must be hydrogen; and X is bromine or chlorine.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 55 words
The pharmaceutical composition of claim 9 in which the active ingredient is a compound of the formula: where R1 and R2 can be the same or different and are each selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, bromine, fluorine and chlorine, with the limitation that at least one of R1 and R2 must be hydrogen.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 55 words
The pharmaceutical composition of claim 9 in which the active ingredient is a compound of the formula: where R1 and R2 can be the same or different and are each selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, bromine, fluorine, and chlorine, with the limitation that at least one of R1 and R2 must be hydrogen.
