Abstract A METHOD OF SEALING LAMINATED MATERIALS, PARTICULARLY AS USED IN FOOD CONTAINERS, IN WHICH A JAW SHAPE IS USED WHICH CAUSES THE CONTACTNG SEALABLE LAYERS TO RUPTURE ALONG A PARTING LINE AND THEN FORM HEAT SEALS ON EACH SIDE OF THE PARTING LINE, SO GIVING A DOUBLE SEAL OF IMPROVED RELIABILITY.
