Abstract

Abstract There is provided a continuous motion skin-packaging machine and method for the production of air-evacuated see-through film-onfilm packages of products. One of the film layers is softened by heat and is contoured around the product. Also, provision may be made for the introduction of an inert fluid, for example, nitrogen, into the package after the removal of air therefrom.
