Abstract A FLOW CONTROL VALVE FOR USE IN A BRAKING SYSTEM TO SYSTEMATICALLY PROPORTION HYDRAULIC FLUID TO THE FRONT AND REAR BRAKES OF THE BREAKING SYSTEM. THE FLOW CONTROL VALVE WILL CORRESPONDINGLY DECREASE THE HYDRAULIC FLUID TO THE REAR BRAKES WITH A SHIFT IN THE CENTER OF GRAVITY OF THE VEHICLE DURING A RAPID DECELERATION. WITH A FAILURE IN THE FRONT BRAKE SUPPLY, THE FLOW CONTROL VALVE PERMITS UN- OBSTRUCTED HYDRAULIC FLUID FLOW TO PROVIDE MAXIMUM BRAKING CAPABILITY IN THE REAR BRAKES.
