Abstract
Abstract A diffusion bonding process may be performed by heating a joint of two metal tubes in tight restriction. The difference in the coefficient of thermal expansion between the metal tubes and a retaining sleeve and wedge causes radial pressure which diffusion bonds the tubes at the joint.
