Abstract
Abstract An electrode for attachment to the skin is made from an adhesively coated, elastic sheet sandwiched between a nonconducting, low profile cup member and a clamp plate fixed in assembled relation by a conductive snap fastener member extending therethrough. Both the cup member and the clamp plate are in the form of cavity washers, the confronting margins of which squeeze the sheet. In use, the cup member cooperates with the skin to form an enclosed cavity for an electrolyte. When pressed against the skin, the elastic sheet resiliently urges the cup member against the skin.
