Abstract READILY SOLUBLE, FREE-FLOWING HYDRATE ALKALI METAL SILICATE GLASS PARTICLES ARE PREAPRED BY FEEDING FINE PARTICLES ON AHHYDROUS GLASS INTO A FLUID BED AND USING STEAM TO EXPAND THE BED. THE STEAM HYDRATES THE GLASS PARTICLES AND AGGLOMERATION TAKES PLACE.
