Abstract A FREE FLOWING PARTICULATE SOLID AMMONIUM SALT OF AN ALKANOIC ACID HAVING 1-10 CARBON ATOMS IS PREPARED BY SPRAYING THE ALKANOIC ACID INTO AN ATMOSPHERE OF AMMONIA VAPOR IN A REACTION ZONE IN A MANNER TO PREVENT THE ACID SPRAY FROM CONTACTING THE INTERNAL SURFACE OF THE REACTION ZONE.
