Abstract
Abstract A hydrocyclone has a generally conical chamber, a tangential inlet at the large end of said chamber and an axially aligned accept outlet located centrally of said large end. A reject passage is located at the apex end of said chamber the inwardly facing surface of said reject passage being provided with means defining a spiral shaped groove along and within which portions of the reject material may travel during passage through the reject outlet.
