Abstract
Abstract The present invention relates to compositions of matter which are especially useful as beneficiating agents in the production of well drilling muds. These compositions comprise mixtures of carboxylic acid polymers and metal salts which mixtures are water soluble at a pH of less than 7.0 wherein the metal is selected from groups IB, IIB, VIB, VIIB and VIII of the Periodic Table and lead.
