Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 7
Claim 1
Independent Claim 43 words
A pneumatic tire having at least one reinforcement separate from the carcass plies in a bead region of the tire comprising a rubberized fiber fleece, the fibers of which have a direction of preferential orientation which is substantially perpendicular to the tire circumference.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 43 words
A pneumatic tire having at least one reinforcement separate from the carcass plies in a bead region of the tire comprising a rubberized fiber fleece, the fibers of which have a direction of preferential orientation which is substantially perpendicular to the tire circumference.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 14 words
A pneumatic tire according to claim 1 wherein the reinforcement comprises a bead wrapping.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 14 words
A pneumatic tire according to claim 1 wherein the reinforcement comprises a chafer strip.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 17 words
A pneumatic tire according to claim 3 comprising a layer of rubber externally of the chafer strip.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 53 words
A pneumatic tire according to claim 1 wherein the fleece, prior to being built into the tire has a strength in the direction which will eventually be substantially perpendicular to the tire circumference which is at least 5 times greater than the strength in a direction transverse to the direction of preferential orientation.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 53 words
A pneumatic tire according to claim 5 wherein the fleece, prior to being built into the tire has a strength in the direction which will eventually be substantially perpendicular to the tire circumference which is 10 to 20 times greater than the strength in a direction transverse to the direction of preferential orientation.
