Abstract
Abstract Described herein are a novel class of compounds useful as antiviral agents, i.e., 5-N-aminoacyl-5-aminouridines and 5-N-dipeptidyl-5-aminouridines. Also described are a variety of novel synthetic routes by which the subject compounds may be obtained, variously including reaction of 5-aminouridine or its glycosyl hydroxyl-blocked analog with appropriately amino-blocked amino acids or amino acid halides.
