Abstract
Abstract A method for coating a metal substrate which comprises immersing the substrate in a coating composition comprising a vinylidene fluoride polymer or a vinyl fluoride polymer powder having a particle size of 0.01 to 100 microns, a mixture of an organic solvent system to form a film of the said polymer and water in a ratio of from 20:80 to 90:10 by weight and a water-soluble resin dissociating in water in an amount of 0.1 to 30 percent by weight to the said polymer and passing a direct electric current between the substrate to be coated as the anode and another material as the cathode in contact with the said coating composition.
