Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 8
Claim 1
Independent Claim 81 words
An article of manufacture comprising a shaped strip having the general exterior outline of a number of circular nail flanges connected in series, apertures in said strip adapted to hold nails snugly therein, a mechanically weakened linkage at the point of connection between each pair of adjacent flanges, and a T-nail in each aperture, each flange having a diametrically-extending recess on one side to receive the head of a T-nail so that said head can be disposed flush with said flange.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 81 words
An article of manufacture comprising a shaped strip having the general exterior outline of a number of circular nail flanges connected in series, apertures in said strip adapted to hold nails snugly therein, a mechanically weakened linkage at the point of connection between each pair of adjacent flanges, and a T-nail in each aperture, each flange having a diametrically-extending recess on one side to receive the head of a T-nail so that said head can be disposed flush with said flange.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 16 words
An article of manufacture as defined in claim 1 wherein said strip is made of metal.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 110 words
An article of manufacture comprising a shaped strip having the form of a row of circular nail flanges with (1) each pair of successive flanges having a point of mutual tangency, (2) a mechanically weak linkage connecting each flange to an adjacent flange at their point of mutual tangency, and (3) an aperture in each flange, and a nail disposed in each aperture with the opposite ends of said nails being spaced from said flanges, each nail having a head at one end with the maximum cross-sectional dimension of said head being smaller than the diameter of the flange with it is associated, said heads being spaced from one another.
Claim 5
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 16 words
An article of manufacture as defined in claim 3 wherein said strip is made of metal.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 34 words
An article of manufacture according to claim 3 wherein each of said flanges has a recess concentric with its aperture which is sized to accomodate the head of the nail associated with said flange.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 37 words
An article of manufacture according to claim 6 wherein each said head has a sloping outer surface and each of said recesses is tapered according to the slope of the said outer surfaces of said nail heads.
