Abstract Bactericidal soap bar containing in combination a bactericidal compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein each of X 1 and X 3 independently represents a halogen atom which is the same or different and X 2 represents a hydrogen or halogen atom, and a compound of the formula ##STR2## wherein R represents an alkyl or alkenyl group of 8 to 17 carbon atoms.

A bactericidal soap bar consisting essentially of (a) 0.1 to 3 percent by weight, based on the total weight of the soap bar, of a bactericidal compound of the formula ##STR5## wherein each of X 1 and X 3 independently represents a halogen atom which is the same or different and X 2 represents a hydrogen or halogen atom, and (b) 0.1 to 10 percent by weight, based on the total weight of the soap bar, of a compound of the formula ##STR6## wherein R represents an alkyl or alkenyl group of 8 to 17 carbon atoms.
