Abstract Octapeptide derivatives of Met- and Leu-enkephalin C-terminally modified by addition of L-Lys-Gly-L-Glu-OH or L-Lys-Gly-L-Gln-OH release endogenous growth hormone without analgesia or side effects elicited by the enkephalins or morphine.
