Claim 1
Independent Claim
52 words
A composition comprising from 70 to 95 wt % polybutylene terephthalate and from 30 to 5 wt % of a diol-terminated polystyrene having the formula: ##STR2## wherein R is selected from the group consisting of lower alkyl and H and wherein n is an integer of from 50 to 500, copolymerized therewith.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Independent Claim
58 words
A method for increasing the 264 psi heat deflection temperature of polybutylene terephthalate consisting of copolymerizing therewith from 5 to about 30 wt %, based on final copolymer, of a diol-terminated polystyrene of the formula: ##STR3## wherein R is selected from the group lower alkyl and hydrogen and wherein n is a positive integer between 50 and 500.
