Abstract Novel substituted 3-[2-(4-phenyl or pyridyl-1-piperazinyl or piperidino)ethyl]indolines useful as antipsychotic agents in mammals as well as substituted 3-[2-(4-phenylpiperidino)ethyl]indole intermediates for their preparation.
