Abstract
Abstract Thermoplastic synthetic filaments having a properly delustered appearance and an adequate frictional property, comprise 85 to 99% by weight of a thermoplastic matrix polymer and 1 to 15% by weight of a dispersed polymer which is incompatible with the matrix polymer and uniformly dispersed in the form of fine particles in the matrix polymer, and are characterized by numerous fine protuberances consisting of the dispersed polymer and formed in the number of at least 5 per 10 μ 2 on the peripheral surface of each individual filament, the protuberances preferably being each in the form of a hemisphere, hemispheroid or hemiellipsoid extending along the longitudinal axis of each individual filament.
