Abstract
Abstract Process for making alkyl-ω-fluoroformyl esters of the formula ##STR1## wherein R is CH 3 or C 2 H 5 and n is 0 or an integer from 1 to 3, by reacting the methyl or ethyl ester of trifluoropyruvic acid with hexafluoropropene oxide in the presence of fluoride ion catalyst, in an aprotic liquid medium; and the ester wherein n=0.
