Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 7
Claim 1
Independent Claim 63 words
The process of preparing a polyurethane foam from a polyisocyanate and a polyol using methylene chloride as a blowing agent, consisting essentially in carrying out the reaction in the presence of a catalytically effective amount of a partially blocked DMAPA, said partial blocking being caused by the inclusion of a branched octanoic acid present in the equivalent % of 10-50% of said DMAPA.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 63 words
The process of preparing a polyurethane foam from a polyisocyanate and a polyol using methylene chloride as a blowing agent, consisting essentially in carrying out the reaction in the presence of a catalytically effective amount of a partially blocked DMAPA, said partial blocking being caused by the inclusion of a branched octanoic acid present in the equivalent % of 10-50% of said DMAPA.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 12 words
The process of claim 1 wherein said octanoic acid is 2-ethylhexanoic acid.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 16 words
The process of claim 1 wherein said effective amount is 0.1 to 0.3% of said polyol.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 14 words
The process of claim 1 wherein said partially blocked DMAPA is dissolved in DPG.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 24 words
The process of claim 1 wherein said process is carried out in the presence of a catalytically sufficient amount of a divalent tin compound.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 13 words
The process of claim 5 wherein said divalent tin compound is stannous octoate.
