Claim 1
Independent Claim
97 words
A process for the heterogeneous gas-phase condensation of natural gas or methane into gasoline-range hydrocarbons comprising the steps of: (a) pretreating the natural gas or methane by catalytic dehydrogenation at a temperature between 50° and 250° C. to form a mixture of methane and lower olefins in the C 2 to C 4 range; (b) condensing the resulting mixture of methane and lower olefins at a temperature between 50° and 250° C. in the presence of a superacid catalyst having a Hammett acidity function H 0 less than -11.9 to form hydrocarbon mixtures in the gasoline range.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
