Abstract

Abstract An article of manufacture comprising a calcium hypochlorite cake composition in an improved particle retaining means which comprises a water-permeable polyvinyl chloride (PVC) bonded polyester (PET) filter sleeve which envelopes and supports the cake. The filter sleeve is designed to be rigid to avoid collapse in use, wicks water for improved cake contact, and is bleach resistant to insure a long product life.
