Abstract
Abstract A halogen ion concentration in a solution is measured by bringing halogen ion-selective detection means comprising a silver/silver halide electrode, and a reference electrode into a solution whose halogen ion concentration is to be measured, and measuring an electromotive force of the halogen ion-selective detection means in the presence of silver ions dissolved in the solution. The electromotive force corresponds to the halogen ion concentration in the solution.
