Abstract
Abstract An adhesive for adhering flavoring agents to foodstuffs comprising a mixture of a reducing sugar, preferably lactose, and a maltodextrin. The adhesive is particularly useful for coating peanuts with a dry honey coating providing honey coated and salted nuts. Various other foodstuffs including fruits and vegetables may be coated using this adhesive.
