Abstract

Abstract A method of forming a thin film of an electrochromic material is disclosed. The method involves coating an acidic solution containing monomeric aniline and effective amounts of an oxidant and a catalyst on the surface on which the electrochromic film is to be formed. The monomeric aniline polymerizes in situ on the surface to from the electrochromic film.
