Abstract
Abstract An anti-fouling marine coating comprising a hydrophobic porous polymeric membrane adhered to a surface by a marine paint containing a biological toxicant. An organism attaches, penetrates pores, releases the toxicant, weakens or dies, is swept away by water action. Biologically triggered toxicant release, no leaching into the sea, porous expanded polytetrafluoroethylene membrane preferred.
