Claim 1
Independent Claim
96 words
A process for separating enzymes from nucleic acids which comprises a. contacting a solution containing enzymes and nucleic acids with a rehydrated silica gel said rehydrated silica gel having a specific surface area of 50 to 150 m 2/ g and pores throughout having an effective diameter of 60 Å to 150 and having surface hydroxyl groups at a concentration of 0.1 μmol/m 2 to 8 mol/m 2 and at a pK a between 6 and 10 capable of binding enzymes to leave an unbound fraction containing the nucleic acids; and b. isolating the unbound fraction.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
