Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 8
Claim 1
Independent Claim 47 words
A thermal transfer printing receiver comprising a substrate having a surface on which is supported a receiver coat, the latter comprising a dye-receptive material and a dye-permeable release agent, characterised in that the receiver coat also contains dissolved or dispersed therein an alkoxylated Bisphenol A-based unsaturated polyester.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 47 words
A thermal transfer printing receiver comprising a substrate having a surface on which is supported a receiver coat, the latter comprising a dye-receptive material and a dye-permeable release agent, characterised in that the receiver coat also contains dissolved or dispersed therein an alkoxylated Bisphenol A-based unsaturated polyester.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 26 words
A thermal transfer printing receiver as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the unsaturated polyester comprises a polyester of ethoxylated Bisphenol A and fumaric acid.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 32 words
A thermal transfer printing receiver as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the unsaturated polyester contains a polyfunctional constituent which on polyesterification provides the unsaturated polyester with a degree of crosslinking.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 46 words
A thermal transfer printing receiver as claimed in claim 3, characterised in that a small proportion of the Bisphenol A component of the unsaturated polyester is replaced by a polyhydric alcohol having a functionality greater than two, thereby to provide the crosslinking in the unsaturated polyester.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 29 words
A thermal transfer printing receiver as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the quantity of unsaturated polyester is within the range 1-10% by weight of the dye-receptive material.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 20 words
A thermal transfer printing receiver as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the dye-receptive material is a saturated polyester.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 21 words
A thermal transfer printing receiver as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the release agent is a cross-linked silicone polymer.
