Abstract
Abstract A process for preparing a low calorie beverage syrup generally comprising the steps of mixing water and an artificial sweetener until completely dissolved. Microcrystalline cellulose is added to the mixer and vigorously agitated for proper dispersion and hydration of the cellulose. Xanthan gum, which has been wetted by propylene glycol, is added to the mixture and properly mixed. While the mixture is being stirred, a natural sweetener solution, a foaming agent and flavoring are added to the mixture to complete the syrup used to make a low calorie slush beverage.
