Abstract
Abstract An image processing apparatus includes an input unit for inputting image information, a setting unit for setting a mode associated with a resolution, a detection unit for detecting a specific image in the image information input from the input unit, a processing unit for converting the specific image in the image information detected by the detection unit into a pattern image having a predetermined resolution, and an output unit for outputting image information from the processing unit. The processing unit changes the resolution of the pattern image according to the mode set by the setting unit.

Claims Analysis
Total Claims: 14
Claim 1
Independent Claim
68 words
An image processing apparatus comprising an input line for inputting image information representing a color image, and conversion means for converting that image information into a repeated-pattern image containing a repeated pattern corresponding to at least one color of the input color image, wherein said conversion means controls a cycle of repetition of a repeated pattern corresponding to a color, in accordance with a type of output mode.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim
Claim 3
Dependent Claim
24 words
An image processing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the type of repeated pattern is the same for at least two different output modes.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim
30 words
An image processing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said conversion means controls the cycle of repetition according as the output mode is a printer mode or a facsimile mode.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim
32 words
An image processing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said conversion means controls the cycle of repetition according as the output mode is a low-resolution facsimile mode or a high-resolution facsimile mode.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim
17 words
An image processing apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising setting means for setting the output mode.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim
24 words
An image processing apparatus according to claim 1, wherein said conversion means further comprises means for storing plural types of the repeated pattern images.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim
65 words
An image processing method, comprising the steps of inputting image information representing a color image, and converting that image information into a repeated-pattern image containing a repeated pattern corresponding to at least one color of the input color image, wherein said converting step includes controlling a cycle of repetition of a repeated pattern corresponding to a color, in accordance with a type of output mode.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim
65 words
An image processing method, comprising the steps of inputting image information representing a color image, and converting that image information into a repeated-pattern image containing a repeated pattern corresponding to at least one color of the input color image, wherein said converting step includes controlling a cycle of repetition of a repeated pattern corresponding to a color, in accordance with a type of output mode.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim
24 words
An image processing method according to claim 7, wherein the type of repeated pattern is the same for at least two different output modes.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim
31 words
An image processing method according to claim 7, wherein said converting step includes controlling the cycle of repetition according as the output mode is a printer mode or a facsimile mode.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim
33 words
An image processing method according to claim 7, wherein said converting step includes controlling the cycle of repetition according as the output mode is a low-resolution facsimile mode or a high-resolution facsimile mode.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim
17 words
An image processing method according to claim 7, further comprising the step of setting the output mode.
Claim 14
Dependent Claim
25 words
An image processing method according to claim 7, wherein said converting step further comprises the step of storing plural types of the repeated pattern images.
