Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 18
Claim 1
Independent Claim 94 words
A method for obtaining a positive image of a photographic negative and placing a representation of the positive image onto a storage medium in which the photographic negative is stored, the method comprising: deriving from the photographic negative electronic data representing the photographic negative; electronically processing the electronic data representing the photographic negative to obtain electronic data representing a positive image of the photographic negative; and printing a representation of the positive image onto the storage medium in which the photographic negative is stored, wherein the storage medium is fabricated from a non-photosensitive material.
Claim 2
Independent Claim 94 words
A method for obtaining a positive image of a photographic negative and placing a representation of the positive image onto a storage medium in which the photographic negative is stored, the method comprising: deriving from the photographic negative electronic data representing the photographic negative; electronically processing the electronic data representing the photographic negative to obtain electronic data representing a positive image of the photographic negative; and printing a representation of the positive image onto the storage medium in which the photographic negative is stored, wherein the storage medium is fabricated from a non-photosensitive material.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 24 words
The method of claim 1 and placing the photographic negative in the storage medium on which the representation of the positive image is located.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 38 words
The method of claim 1 wherein a plurality of photographic negatives can be stored in the storage medium and wherein a positive image of each stored photographic negative is located on an outer surface of the storage medium.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 21 words
The method of claim 1 wherein the electronic data representing the photographic negative is derived through the use of a scanner.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 16 words
The method of claim 4 wherein the scanner scans a projected image of the photographic negative.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 11 words
The method of claim 1 wherein the non-photosensitive material is paper.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 11 words
The method of claim 1 wherein the non-photosensitive material is plastic.
Claim 9
Independent Claim 66 words
A method for storing photographic negatives, the method comprising: deriving from a photographic negative electronic data representing an image of the photographic negative; printing a positive image on a storage medium, the positive image being based upon the electronic data, wherein the storage medium is fabricated from a non-photosensitive material; and inserting the photographic negative into the storage medium at a position adjacent the positive image.
Claim 10
Independent Claim 66 words
A method for storing photographic negatives, the method comprising: deriving from a photographic negative electronic data representing an image of the photographic negative; printing a positive image on a storage medium, the positive image being based upon the electronic data, wherein the storage medium is fabricated from a non-photosensitive material; and inserting the photographic negative into the storage medium at a position adjacent the positive image.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 26 words
The method of claim 8 wherein the electronic data is derived through the use of a scanner which scans a projected image of the photographic negative.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 11 words
The method of claim 8 wherein the non-photosensitive material is paper.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim 61 words
The method of claim 8 wherein the storage medium comprises a plurality of sleeves each of which has a first outer surface and wherein a set of electronic data is derived from each of a plurality of photographic negatives, wherein a positive image is printed on the first outer surface of one of the sleeves for each set of electronic data.
Claim 14
Dependent Claim 11 words
The method of claim 8 wherein the non-photosensitive material is plastic.
Claim 15
Independent Claim 91 words
A method for obtaining a positive image of a photographic negative and placing a representation of the positive image onto a storage medium in which the photographic negative is stored, the method comprising: deriving from the photographic negative electronic data representing the photographic negative; electronically processing the electronic data representing the photographic negative to obtain electronic data representing a positive image of the photographic negative; and ink jet printing, based on the electronic data, a representation of the positive image onto the storage medium in which the photographic negative is stored.
Claim 16
Independent Claim 91 words
A method for obtaining a positive image of a photographic negative and placing a representation of the positive image onto a storage medium in which the photographic negative is stored, the method comprising: deriving from the photographic negative electronic data representing the photographic negative; electronically processing the electronic data representing the photographic negative to obtain electronic data representing a positive image of the photographic negative; and ink jet printing, based on the electronic data, a representation of the positive image onto the storage medium in which the photographic negative is stored.
Claim 17
Dependent Claim 38 words
The method of claim 13 wherein a plurality of photographic negatives can be stored in the storage medium and wherein a positive image of each stored photographic negative is located on an outer surface of the storage medium.
Claim 18
Dependent Claim 15 words
The method of claim 13 wherein the storage medium is fabricated from a non-photosensitive material.
