Abstract A METHOD OF ATTACHING A SUTURE TO A SUTURE NEEDLE OF THE TYPE INITIALLY HAVING A V-SHAPED CROSS-SECTION CHANNEL WHILE SUBSTANTIALLY ELIMINATING ANNEALING. THE CHANNEL IS FORCEFULLY PARTIALLY CLOSED BEFORE HARDENING THE NEEDLE, AFTER WHICH THE NEEDLE IS HARDENED, AFTER WHICH SUTURE IS PLACED INTO THE CHANNEL. THE WALLS OF THE CHANNEL ARE THEN FURTHER AND FINALLY CLOSED AGAINST EACH OTHER NORMALLY WITHOUT ANNEALING, TO HOLD THE SUTURE. D R A W I N G
