Abstract An electromechanical bending force receiver for weighing cells and the like in which at least one strain gauge is disposed in a notch-like recess in a bar-shaped bending body with a step surrounding the recess to form a plane surface located in the zone of the body which is neutral to bending and with a covering foil located in said zone hermetically bonded to said surface.
