Spring element and its application
Abstract
Automatically load-independent level-regulating spring element (3) for the resilient connection of two machine parts (1, 2), in particular parts of a motor vehicle, consisting of a pump (4), its pump housing (8) with one of the two machine parts (1) and its pump piston (9 ) is connected to the other of the two machine parts (2) in such a way that the pump executes suction cycles and pressure cycles when the two machine parts move relative to one another, and that the position of the pump piston (9) in the pump housing (8) is always the distance between corresponds to both parts to be cushioned against each other, as well as from a spring chamber (6), which is filled with a hydraulic fluid (5) under excess pressure, and a practically unpressurized storage chamber (7) for the fluid. The suction port of the pump is connected to the storage chamber (7) via a first check valve (11), while the pressure port of the pump (4) is connected to the spring chamber (6) via a second check valve (13). Above a predetermined position of the pump piston (9) in the pump housing 8, the working space of the pump (4) is freely connected to the storage chamber (7) via a connecting channel (14), so that the pressure port (12) of the pump (4) despite pumping movements of the Pump piston (9) remains depressurized. The pressure port is only switched on again when the pump piston (9) closes the opening of the connecting channel (14) to the storage chamber (7) again.
