An image editing apparatus comprising: display means (21) for displaying documents to be edited; cut region designating means (15) for designating at least one cut region (C l , C 2 , C 3 ) of one of the documents which is displayed by said display means; first image information storing means (124) for storing the image information of the cut regions of the document which are designated by said cut region designating means; sticking region calculating means (16) for calculating the coordinates of sticking regions (D 1 , D 2 , D 3 ) for the cut regions according to prepared basic sticking patterns on the basis of the coordinate data of the cut regions which are obtained by said cut region designating means and for storing them; second image information storing means (125); means (14) for transferring the image information of the respective cut regions which are stored in said first storing means (124) to a memory area of said second storing means (125) which is designated by the coordinate data of the corresponding sticking regions stored in said sticking region calculating means; and means (12) for visually outputting the image information stored in said second storing means.
