Chuck for interchangeable feelers
Abstract
It is a receptacle (1) in the probe head of a multi-coordinate measuring machine, in which stylus combinations (21) can be exchangeably fastened with high accuracy with regard to their spatial position. The receptacle contains an isostatic three-point bearing (14) against which the contact plate (15-19) of the stylus combination is pulled by an electromagnetic clamping device. The tensioning device is coupled to the control computer of the measuring machine, so that the probe change can take place automatically. In a preferred embodiment, the tensioning device consists of a permanent magnet (11) and an electromagnet (10) with which the field of the permanent magnet (11) can be compensated or strengthened. Stylus combinations that are not required are automatically suspended by the measuring machine in a magazine (31/41) installed in the working area of the machine.
