Abstract
Abstract A method of manufacturing apparatus for guiding infra-red light, comprising providing a tube of material capable of guiding infra-red light, enveloping the tube in a flexible sleeve so that the sleeve fits tightly around the tube, thereafter severing the tube at spaced intervals along its length without severing the sleeve, and aligning a severed length of the tube at such an angle to an adjacent length as to allow passage of a beam of infra-red light from one to the other.
