Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 15
Claim 1
Independent Claim 175 words
A process for preparing a color filter comprising a substrate (1) and a colored layer (4) formed on the surface of said substrate (1), wherein said colored layer (4) contains a transparent layer (2) and a coloring agent (3) dissolved or dispersed within said transparent layer (2), which process comprises: (i) preparing a colorant solution or dispersion by dissolving or dispersing the coloring agent (3) in an alkoxide solution, wherein the coloring agent contains at least one element selected from the group consisting of dyes and pigments, and wherein the alkoxide solution contains an alkoxide of at least one element selected from the group consisting of silicon, germanium, titanium, zirconium, lead, boron, aluminum, phosphorus and arsenic; (ii) applying said colorant solution or dispersion to the substrate (1); (iii) forming the colored layer (4) on the surface of the substrate (1) in a thickness of 10 µm or less by heating the substrate to which the colorant solution or dispersion is applied; and (iv) the colored layer (4) is heated at temperatures from 60°C to 150°C.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 18 words
A process as claimed in claim 1, wherein said substrate (1) is made of glass or plastic material.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 32 words
A process according to claims 1 or 2, wherein said coloring agent (3) is formed from several kinds of dyes and/or several kinds of pigments having absorption peaks at different wave lengths.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 21 words
A process according to one of claims 1 to 3, wherein said transparent layer (2) is capable of absorbing ultraviolet radiation.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 17 words
A process according to claim 4, where the applying and the forming are performed at least twice.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 31 words
A process according to claim 4 or 5, wherein said colorant solution contains, as a film-forming auxiliary, an organic compound selected from the group consisting of hydroxypropyl cellulose and hydroxyethyl cellulose:
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 37 words
A process according to any of claims 1 to 6, further comprising the treatment of the surface of the substrate (1) with a coupling agent prior to the application of the colorant solution to the substrate (1).
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 14 words
A process according to claim 7, wherein said colorant solution contains a coupling agent.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 120 words
A color filter comprising a substrate (1) and a colored layer (4) formed on the surface of said substrate (1), wherein said colored layer (4) contains a transparent layer (2) and a coloring agent (3) dissolved or dispersed within said transparent layer (2), and has a thickness of 10 µm or less, said transparent layer is made from an alkoxide solution of at least one element selected from the group consisting of silicon, germanium, zirconium, lead, boron, aluminum, phosphorus and arsenic; and said coloring agent consists of at least one element selected from the group consisting of dyes and pigments, where the colored layer (4) is heated on the surface of the substrate (1) at temperatures from 60°C to 150°C.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 18 words
A color filter claimed in claim 9, wherein said substrate (1) is made of glass or plastic material.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 33 words
A color filter according to claims 9 or 10, wherein said coloring agent (3) is formed from several kinds of dyes and/or several lands of pigments having absorption peaks at different wave lengths.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 22 words
A color filter according to one of claims 9 to 11, wherein said transparent layer (2) is capable of absorbing ultraviolet radiation.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim 30 words
A color filter according to claim 12, wherein said colorant solution contains, as a film-forming auxiliary, an organic compound selected from the group consisting of hydroxypropyl cellulose and hydroxyethyl cellulose.
Claim 14
Dependent Claim 38 words
A color filter according to any of claims 9 to 13, further comprising the treatment of the surface of the substrate (1) with a coupling agent prior to the application of the colorant solution to the substrate (1).
Claim 15
Dependent Claim 15 words
A color filter according to claim 14, wherein said colorant solution contains a coupling agent.
