Abstract The information displays system allows the displayed information and the display format to be selected by the vehicle driver, via a number of selection buttons(9). The operating rate of the operating buttons and/or the frequency distribution of the different information and display format selections are evaluated, to alter the selection table(8) and/or the displayed information and/or the display format. Pref. the selection table displays the available selection as a numbers, symbols of alphanumeric characters.
