Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 16
Claim 1
Independent Claim 114 words
A scanner server apparatus comprises: storing means for storing image data from a scanner for photoelectrically reading an original document image; and transferring means for transferring the stored image data through a network, wherein said scanner server is structured to perform, at independent times, a prescan process for storing image data output from the scanner in a prescan for reading the original document image at a low resolution, and a final scan process for processing image data output from the scanner in a final scan for reading the original document image at a high resolution in accordance with the processing conditions set on the basis of the image data stored in the prescan process.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 34 words
A scanner server apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the image data stored in the prescan process includes identification data, and the image data is processed in the final scan using the identification data.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 32 words
A scanner server apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the scanner server further comprises a display for displaying an image on the basis of the image data stored in the prescan process.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 25 words
A scanner server apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the prescan process is performed on a bundle of original documents of a plurality of pages.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 142 words
A scanner server system, comprising: a scanner for photoelectrically reading an original document image; and a scanner server for storing image data output from said scanner and transferring the stored image data through a network, wherein said scanner performs a prescan for reading an original document image at a low resolution and a final scan for reading the original document image at a high resolution, and said scanner server performs, at independent times, a prescan process for storing image data output from the scanner in a prescan for reading the original document image at a low resolution, and a final scan process for processing image data output from the scanner in a final scan for reading the original document image at a high resolution in accordance with processing conditions set on the basis of the image data stored in the prescan process.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 37 words
A scanner server system according to claim 5, wherein the image data stored in the prescan process includes identification data, and said scanner server performs image data processing in the final scan process using the identification data.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 31 words
A scanner server system according to claim 5, wherein said scanner server includes a display for displaying an image on the basis of the image data stored in the prescan process.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 20 words
A scanner server system according to claim 5, wherein said scanner automatically reads a plurality of pages of original documents.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 57 words
A scanner server apparatus, comprising: storage means for storing image data output from a scanner for photoelectrically reading an original document image; transfer means for transferring the image data stored in said storage means to a processing apparatus through a network; and prohibition means for prohibiting the deletion of the image data stored in said storage means.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 42 words
A scanner server apparatus according to claim 9, further comprising: table means for storing the attributes of the image data stored in said storage means, said table means storing data indicating whether or not deletion of the image data should be permitted.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 44 words
A scanner server apparatus according to claim 9, wherein when a process relating to the image data stored in said storage means is completed, a state by which the image data cannot be deleted which has been initiated by said prohibition means is released.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 106 words
A scanner server apparatus comprising: storing means for storing image data from a scanner for photoelectrically reading an original document image; and transferring means for transferring the stored image data through a network, wherein said scanner server is structured to execute a prescan process for reading an original document image at a low resolution, in which deletion of the image data output from the scanner and stored in the storing means is prohibited until a final scan for reading an original document image at a high resolution in accordance with processing conditions set on the basis of image data stored in the prescan process is terminated.
Claim 13
Independent Claim 17 words
A method, system, device or apparatus having the relevant features of any combination of the preceding claims.
Claim 14
Dependent Claim 12 words
A scanner server configured for operation in accordance with any preceding claims.
Claim 15
Dependent Claim 19 words
A digital colour copier configured for operation as the scanner server in accordance with any of the preceding claims.
Claim 16
Dependent Claim 24 words
A computer readable medium conveying instructions for automatically configuring a network or scanner server to operate in accordance with any of the preceding claims.
