Abstract

Abstract A planet gear of component design has a toothed driving pinion (4) acting as a sun wheel for three planet wheels (5) supported by a plate (7) attached to the driven spindle (2). The planet wheels, which also mesh with the internal teeth of a fixed outer ring (6), are double wheels, with end portions (8) connected by a small dia. spacer. In one design, a supporting system for the double wheels uses segments (11) of a ring, supportedp by the plate on the driven spindle, each secured by a spindle and shaped to match the spacer parts, so that they fit into the grooves (9) in the double wheels. In a second design, segments are used which connect the double wheels in pairs.
