Photosensitive layer for printing plate

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To improve adhesion of ink and preservation stability of a printing plate by incorporating a copolymer having a specified structural unit and having also OH groups, into a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:A copolymer having a structural unit expressed by the formula I and having also OH groups is incorporated into a photosensitive layer formed on a base body. The copolymer is a kind of acrylic copolymers contg. a compd. having OH groups and a component expressed by the formula II as polymerization components. Suitable compds. expressed by the formula II are such as mono(2-methacryloxyethyl)hexahydrophthalate, mono(2-acryloxyethyl) hexahydrophthalate, etc. Preferred content of the compd. expressed by the formula II is 3-40wt.% basing on the total amt. of the copolymer. Thus, adhesion to ink, preservation stability, and durability for printing, of a printing plate are improved.
