Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To remarkably reduce the probability of lacking plural bits of the same information in the same position at the time of reproduction by setting plural bits of the same management information with their leading positions shifted from each other in a management area of the disk. CONSTITUTION:The management area is provided in the disk 10 as well as a data area and is recorded with important information such as two sets, etc., of plural bits of the same management information set by making their leading positions different on different angled radial lines, for example, in a section P1-P2 and a section P2-P3 from the inner side over to an extent of two and a half rounds of a track respectively by making the leading positions different from each other by 180 deg.. By this method, when the disk is flawed, the probability of lacking plural bits of the same information in the same position completely at the time of reproduction is remarkably reduced, and hence the reliability of the disk is enhanced.
