Polypropylene resin composition

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:The titled composition little blooming when heated and molded, and giving a molded product with excellent tansparency, which is prepared by compounding a PP resin with dibenzylidenesorbitol and a surfactant. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. PP resin (A) are compounded with 0.005-1pts.wt. dibenzylidenesorbitol (B) and a nonionic, anionic, cationic or amphoteric surfactant (C), in an amt. of 0.005-1pts.wt. based on 100pts.wt. component A and 5- 300pts.wt. based on 100pts.wt. component B. Thus apparent MW is increased, rate of bleeding is reduced and voltility is eliminated because the component B forms a gelatinous material together with part of the component C in the resin, and blooming is inhibited because the remaining component C which does not form any gelatinous materials bleeds out in preferance to the component B.
