Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To continue and fortify the deodorizing effect of the extrement soil of earthworms, in removing the malodor in gases by means of said excrement soil, by performing controlling of the moisture contained in the excrement soil and the replenishing of nutrients for the microbes in the excrement soil. CONSTITUTION: A porous plate 3 is mounted covering the entire part of the opening of an aerating vessel 1, and gravel 4 is covered to about 15cm thickness on the top thereof. Further, excrement soil 5 of earthworms is covered thereon about 30cm and water spraying faucets 6 are provided above these. Nutrients accelerating the propagation of microbes such as alcohols, lower fatty facids, sugars, amino acids or the like are added to the piled excrement soil 5 of earthworms; at the same time, suitable moisture is given thereto by controlling the water spraying faucets 6, whereby the biological activity of the microbes is fortified. Gases 9 contg. malodor such as ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan or the like are sucked into aerating liquid 10 and are sufficiently contacted therewith to become diffused gases 11 which are then passed through the porous plate 3, gravel 4 and excrement soil 5 of earthworms, so that the maloder is decomposed and removed by the microbes in the excrement soil 5 of earthworms, after which the gas is released.
